FAQ

Do I need API keys for AI models?

No. IronShift handles model access based on your plan.

Does IronShift store my cloud credentials?

No. It uses your locally installed CLI tools and their existing authentication.

Can I self-host the backend?

Yes. The backend can be self-hosted for enterprise deployments.

Which IDEs are supported?

IronShift supports VS Code, JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ, WebStorm, PyCharm, etc.), Cursor, Windsurf, and more. It works on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You'll be prompted to upgrade. Remaining credits still work; new requests are limited until refresh or upgrade.
